12/22/2023 0 Comments Dokev xbox release dateWhile the game will not be an MMO, it will be multiplayer, allowing family and friends to play together and take down all sorts of high-level creatures using an array of different weapons. So far we have seen Dokebi in all sorts of shapes and sizes: A large, fuzzy, pink anteater, a small bi-pedal white dog, and even a clock-headed creature sporting a blue hoodie. So, let's get into our Cozy Comfy Multiplayer of the week: DokeV About DokeVĭokeV will be an open world action-adventure creature-collecting game where players will befriend the adorable and eccentric Dokebi who gain strength from people’s dreams. So, I took it upon myself to scourge website after website to bring together all the information released so far, and what can be expected as we head into 2023. Sadly, despite the hype and the eager fans who have been waiting in masses for the release of DokeV, information is scarce, hidden in the underbelly of the internet, or sometimes entirely in Korean. And even so, DokeV is still a unique addition to the market of online gaming.Even if you don’t know the studio Pearl Abyss, DokeV was a title that was taking the internet by storm with its bright, high-energy trailer filled with cute characters, cutter animations, and a soundtrack that was near impossible not to have on repeat. And PvP will still somehow make its way to DokeV, though Pearl Abyss hopes to include friendlier competitions for less toxicity. However, Pearl Abyss has confirmed that online gameplay will still be included, with players able to complete quests in either single-player or co-op, similar to Genshin Impact's structure. While DokeV was originally being developed as an MMORPG and players were excited to see something unique, such as the recently announced Palia, which focuses on the relaxing side of gaming, fans were a bit disappointed to hear that it's now an open-world adventure game. Toward the end of the trailer, one character is shown getting sucked into a tiny dollhouse, presumably into DokeV's world, implying that it's some sort of alternate reality. One moment, the player character is floating to town with an umbrella, and the next, they're smashing a robot with a glitching rainbow hammer. What makes this all possible is the whole world of DokeV is a dream world, which explains how psychedelic the trailer gets as time passes. There's also some kind of spectral grappling hook, allowing players to swing from one location to the next fifty feet in the air. Players can traverse the stunning scenery by way of umbrellas, jet skis, cars, and skateboards so far. And crossing between Grand Theft Auto and Splatoon, it looks like exploration is a big draw of DokeV. In addition to the fighting and flying, DokeV allows players to take part in much more quaint activities as well, such as fishing and kite-flying. As for the combat, weaponry so far ranges from melee items like hammers and bouncing balls, whereas long-ranged combat includes the use of water guns and even a magic hat. The trailer didn't actually showcase any creature-collecting, however, so that is yet to be seen. Some gamers have compared DokeV's combat to Monster Hunter's, another co-op online title, but fighting alongside creatures that players have captured along the way. These choreographed costume changes seem to be how players get into battle mode. In another shot, the player's avatar transforms into futuristic gear almost anime -style, but now without an iconic k-pop dance pose. And to throw in a little bit of k-pop into DokeV beyond the song used in the Gamescom 2021 trailer, "Rockstar," a character is shown drawing a symbol in front of them and transforming into a shimmering gold costume, complete with some dance moves.
